Onsite renewable energy
Zero carbon building, Performance standard, Version 2, Published by the Canada Green Building Council in March 2021, defines onsite renewable energy as: ‘Renewable energy that is generated onsite. Where a site is not connected to the electricity grid, only the energy that can be consumed (or stored and then consumed) onsite is considered onsite renewable energy.’
